Giving thanks

What a glorious week we had celebrating our anniversary, beginning with our Bishop's visit and ending with the wonderful stories of this congregation (plus meatloaf and Watergate salad!). There was such happy energy in the air both weekends, and it was especially fun to welcome newcomers and friends to our Saturday pet blessing. I'm so grateful for our Anniversary Committee - Dave, Marilyn, Renee, Sam, Debbie, Stephanie - and to everyone who helped make it possible. A special thanks to all of you who invited someone to come!

And with that, it feels like fall is officially launched. Our Bible study is starting up, and the Revive group, a spiritual formation program for lay leaders, will be starting soon too. This is the time of year that always feels like it's accelerating, with the holidays looming ahead of us. But first we get to relish our good start to ministry together, and dig deeper into what nourishes us in our faith: scripture, prayer, and time together. I'm so grateful for all the good spirit I feel around St Francis these days. Keep inviting friends to join, because there are good things happening here!
