Holy Week 2026
Palm Sunday
March 29
Our worship at both 8:00 and 10:00 begins with the celebration of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. With palms and shouts of ‘Hosanna!’ we rejoice in Jesus as a new kind of king, one who gives himself up in love for us. The service concludes with a reading of the Passion story from Matthew, a somber beginning to our Holy Week observance.
Maundy Thursday
April 2
Come at 5:30 pm for a service that commemorates Jesus’ last supper with his disciples, hearing again his commandment to love and serve one another. We will share a simple meal before washing one another’s hands and feet. Then we move into the church for a celebration of the Eucharist, before stripping the finery from the church and sitting in silence, remembering Jesus in Gethsemane.
All-Night Vigil
April 2-3
The church will be open all night for vigil, keeping watch as we remember Jesus’ gift of love for us. Contact us for more information.
Good Friday
April 3
Our Good Friday service begins at 12:00 noon, with prayers and a reading of the Passion from John’s gospel. With prayers and hymns and veneration of the cross, we sit with the enormity of God’s love for us. We follow the service with the Stations of the Cross in the church, walking the way of Jesus in prayer.
Easter Sunday
April 5
Join us at 8:00 and 10:00 for joyful Easter music, crowds, and the great news of the resurrection! Special feasting, fun hats and ‘fascinators,’ and beautiful flowers will add to our celebration. All are welcome!
